Pickleball
Paddles and Balls
Each player on the court will need a pickleball paddle, which is smaller than a tennis racquet but larger than a ping-pong paddle. Originally, paddles were made only from wood. Paddles have come a long way and are currently made mostly of lightweight composite materials, including aluminum and graphite. Players also need a net and a pickleball. Pickleballs are similar to a whiffle ball with holes through it but yet different. There are different size holes in the ball depending on the intended use of indoor or outdoor play. To meet International Federation of Pickleball specifications the ball must be a single color. The pickleball courts can be fenced or in the wide open space. The fenced courts help to keep the balls at hand maintaining a quick game pace.
